Personal Profile Statement

My scholarly interests lie in the areas of political communication and gender issues within heavy metal music.  I am an accomplished, award winning musician, recording engineer, and filmmaker. In addition to my many accomplishments I strive to give back to my community and prepare the next generation of future rock stars through teaching, mentoring, and community engagement.

Hobbies and interests

As a navy veteran I feel that I was always meant to be on the water. In my spare time I like the peacefulness and solitude of captaining my 23-foot sailboat. I am also active in local politics, including local civic committees and the city council.
